How It All Started!
Bryan Gatley's customers need ice cream. They tell him this, daily, as he works behind the counter at Holy Cow Ice Cream, Grafton's newest ice cream stand. Holy Cow's ice cream, is from Bliss Brothers Dairy, an Attleboro dairy that has been in the ice cream business since the 1920s.
And happiness is the business at Holy Cow Ice Cream and Fore Seasons Mini Golf, the two businesses Gatley runs with Dick Anderson inside a building that has been transformed from a nightclub into a family fun center that also includes T-Station Pizza. "We have something here for everyone in the family," Gatley said. "You can take the whole family out for the night and it's not going to cost you a bundle." A round of golf is $3 a round for nine holes of indoor mini golf. It's warm in the winter, cool in the summer and ... that's not even the best part. The golf is played in a dark room, lit only by black lights, and the entire course glows in the dark. "I was spending a lot of time on the Internet trying to figure out how to entertain young children," Anderson said. "This definitely works in this space."
